The sun and our skin… The sun contributes to our well-being, good mood and is fundamental to the synthesis of vitamin D. However it emits radiations that are imperceptible to the human eye and therefore are treacherous and dangerous. So when we are exposed to the sun we are also exposed to UVB, UVA, IR, and visible light radiation. These types of radiation can cause skin damage, such as burns, blemishes, DNA damage, premature aging due to changes in collagen fibers, etc. So the use of a good sunscreen is the safest way to enjoy the sun free of hazards.
